FB-17 is an expansion joint cover type firestop for nominal joints from 5" to 20+" in floors and walls.
It has been tested and proven to provide fire resistance of up to 3 hours for floor joints and up to 2 hours for wall joints. It minimizes the passage of smoke.
It is available in 10-foot lengths, and is designed for simple jointing.
An option for lateral shear movement is available.
*NOTE: For the wall firestop system to function properly in terms of fire resistance and movement capability, it is important to provide adequate wall construction depth for installation. See wall depth chart (PDF) for details.
